Save resources! they are not unlimited! Its easy to develop the habit of taking a fabric bag or two folded up in your pocket or handbag whenever you go shopping. And refuse plastic bag if offered to you in a shop.

Reusable bags are the only compromise. Although biodegradable bags do seem to be a solution it is important to note the it takes 90 days for a bio bag to degrade completely. It takes much less time for an animal to choke, starve or strangle itself, much less time for storm drains to back up and reject sewage etc. and much less time for photosynthesis dependent plants, algae and corals to become irreversibly damaged. Ban the bag!

Plastic bags are a threat to wildlife, a waste of resources and a contributor to landfill and litter so I think we should do away with them where ever possible.

Not just replace plastic bags with biodegradable starch bags, but use reusable bags and reduce packaging in all aspects of the retail market!

I urge the government to ban plastic bags not only are they harmful to animals &the world, but it takes hundreds of years to rot away in the earth. I always use cloth bags re-useable bags when I can,a safer choice,so please think next time you go shopping what the impact of using a cloth bag/reusable bag can do. The amount of plastic bags(and other rubbish) that go into waste pits in the land is a disgrace. Why not work together to find a use for the rubbish make it into something useful(electricity, ect.)that will benifit the land&world. WE HAVE THE POWER TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED,WE NEED TO END THE WASTE WE THROW AWAY. A GREENER COUNTRY,WORLD IS ONE STEP CLOSER,JUST WITHIN REACH IF WE WANT TO HEAL THE WORLD WE NEED TO ACT NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!
