Plastic Pollution Prevention

Plastic is not fantastic! We must find a solution to plastic pollution! Why? Because all plastic that makes its way into our oceans will alter the natural state of ecosystems and harm wildlife. An estimated one million seabirds and 100,000 whales, dolphins, seals, and other animals die each and every year as a result of eating deceiving plastic they mistake for food. Dead sea animals wash to shore and decay, while the plastic particles they consumed remain fully intact. Plastic doesnt just kill marine animals that eat plastic, get trapped in it or drown, but it also destroys and degrades their habitat. This harsh reality must be fought the best way we know how. Through this petition I hope to stop the use of plastic bags in grocery stores and to replace them with cloth shopping bags, or bags brought from the homes of the shoppers.
