It is time America took back our Social Security entitlements. They were shuffled over into a category where everyone could partake regardless of their history.
There are two parts to this solution. One is based on being born in America and the other is the actual amount of time that you have worked.
Under the first part of this solution Americans will accumulate ONE PERCENT of their Social Security entitlement for every year from the day they are born up until SIXTY FIVE YEARS OF AGE. At the age of 65 they will be entitled to 65 percent of their social security entitlements.
A child born in America does not work and does not pay into social security but just by living here on a daily basis and being part of America helps our Social Security thrive because they spend money, in every activity they partake, which allows our economy to flourish. Everyone that spends a dime in America helps to strengthen Social Security every day.
Under the second part of this solution Americans will accumulate ONE PERCENT of their Social Security entitlement for every year they have worked up to a maximum of THIRTY FIVE percent of their social security entitlements.
This exact method will allow American born citizens a full ONE HUNDRED percent of SOCIAL SECURITY entitlements if they are SIXTY FIVE years of age and have worked THIRTY FIVE years.
But America is fair and has to also address the issue of immigration because everyone that works that pays into social security has to be able to benefit in some manner, but the formula is not going to be the same as for Americans born in the UNITED STATES.
Non-Citizens of the United States will receive a HALF of a PERCENT for living in America after starting the process for citizenship, but they will not be awarded a dime until they finish becoming a citizen. This half of a percent is not a punishment, but, rather, an incentive to try harder in becoming a citizen. It is not our responsibility that they comply. It is their responsibility.
And this is only fair, regardless of legal citizenship status, because these immigrants will be living in America and spending money on the economy that will help to shore up Americas Social Security. If they never try to become a legal citizen, they will never reap any benefits.
A Non-Citizen will also receive a full ONE PERCENT for every year worked after starting the process for citizenship. And, this is necessary to control an abuse in the labor force so every worker can receive an equal percent for their work. But it still will demand that a person needs to become a citizen to receive any Social Security benefits.
Non-Citizens that are not trying to become citizens will pay social security taxes anyway, if they are working, but this money will be, simply, forfeit.
Once an immigrant becomes a fully legal citizen of the United States of America they will start accruing the same one percent per year for living in America and one percent per year of working in America.
Social Security has to quit being a giveaway program to people that are not entitled. If you LIVE in AMERICA you have to earn the entitlement.
Every person, regardless of profession, needs to pay social security. NO WAIVERS, NO EXCLUSIONS. You live in America you pay social security.
We do not need to invest Social Security funds on Wall Street anymore, because the return on the money is insignificant and it does not help to rebuild the HEART OF AMERICA.
We need to invest Social Security on the most vital birthright that Americans have and love and that is America, itself. We need to use the money to create jobs for Americans, build business opportunities, and invest in the Dreams of Americans. The more social security money we invest in America the more money social security we will have to protect our future benefits for the ages.
And do not consider privatizing Social Security into personal accounts, because that is not what Social Security was created for. Social Security was created so that no one reached the end of their lives and had no pension to live on. It was created not as a personal tool for investment, but, rather, as a government response to aid and care for the misfortunate and unprotected.
Personalizing Social Security would place the United States back in the same dilemma of having individuals invest and lose their social security savings early in their lives through bad investments and then put America back in the position of having to care for them in their older ages.
I do not believe the numbers represented in this solution have to be adjusted, because 65 is a proper age to receive Social Security entitlements and most Americans work a good portion of 35 years.
And naturalized citizens have a right to a smaller stipend, but they do not have a right to claim their own birth date from another country in formulating social security entitlements. They can claim the date they arrived and started the process of becoming citizens, but that will never take away the fact that Americans were born here, they were not.
Every country can emulate our Social Security system, but our benefits are not to be transferable between countries. You live here you earn it here. And no citizen can receive SOCIAL SECURITY benefits from two different countries.
If a person wants their birth to be considered in their social security benefits than they have to remain in the country of their birth. They have to spend their own money, build their own economies and develop their own countries. The world will be a better place and everyone will have an opportunity to prosper and retire.
The strength of this improvement to Social Security is that we consider the whole life of an American citizen in calculating their eventual benefits and not just the years that they entered the workforce.
This solution will help to save billions of dollars that can be used to pay the elderly for the rest of their lives. This solution will make Social Security solvent.
AMERICANS DESERVE TO HAVE THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY, THEIR BIRTHRIGHT, PROTECTED!
AMERICA FOREVER!
MICHAEL LEE MADSEN SR.
Social Security is important to every American citizen. We do not want it privatized and turned over to Wall Street.
We want you to quit trying to divide the young person and the old person in the United States. It is not fair, it is not equal. The same Social Security is for everyone.
We want our Social Security funds invested in Our American workforce so that they can continue to help keep Social Security strong.
We want you to quit trying to give away the Social Security fund to Wall Street. It is not their money; it belongs to the Citizens of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
We believe in a strong, vital America and want OUR SOCIAL SECURITY DOLLARS to protect its HEALTH.
Make the next election about fairness, not greed!
ALL AMERICANS DESERVE THE RIGHT TO RETIRE!
