14 days until you kill the animals! That is one of the most horrible thing I've ever heard. Killing the animals is wrong no matter what, but only giving them 14 days to find a home seems like they're not giving these animals much of a chance. There are plenty of people out there willing to take in older animals and it might take them longer than 14 days to make their decision. Give these animals a chance! That is what this shelter is supposed to be about anyways, isn't it? Give them vaccines, give them a bath! Let volunteers come in and show these animals that they are loved, and let them live!

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE. WHY SHOULD ANY ANIMAL ONLY BE GIVEN 14 TO LIVE. THESE ANIMALS NEED VOLUNTEERS TO WALK,FEED AND GIVE THEM THE LOVE THAT THEY DESERVE. PLEASE CHANGE THESE HORRIBLE LAWS.

The way in which you treat animals is horrible. The fact that you do not bathe them, give them flea treatments or brush them is awful. 14 days is not long enough to give them the chance to live. You have funding to care for these animals and your food is free - the treatment of the animals is inhumane. I am signing this petition in hopes that the conditions at your center will improve. With all these signatures, I pray that you see what you are doing to the animals and have a change of heart.

All of these animals should be given a fair chance at a good life. 14 days isn't long enough, especially if you have the funding to keep them alive, and happy, longer.

I have recently adopted a pet from Livingston County's Last Chance Rescue and am absolutely shocked and dismayed at what I have read about Animal Control and the Animal Shelter in Livingston County. There are many people in our community that are more interested in rescuing pets than purchasing pets from breeders, and the fourteen day limit NEEDS to ABSOLUTELY be extended. That leaves no time for adoption or alternative means. This process must be REFORMED!

I am absolutely disgusted with what I've been hearing about the Animal Control Director. She should be removed immediately!

There is no reason for an animal to be killed after having to be rescued by a shelter in the first place. 14 days is a horrible limit to put on their lives. I am a dog lover like so many others, and I am sure that there is a home for every one of those dogs. They are being unfairly treated by people who think they have more power and control over them. Please do not let these animals suffer like this.

Please save these animals who don't have enough time to find a happy home. Its so sad to see an animal loose its life because of simply not enough time. 14 days isnt exceptable for finding a perfect home. Also, these animals need love and volunteers to give them the attention they deserve.

I have adopted from a shelter before. Best dog ever. I never would have had some wonderful years if my dog had not been at the shelter that day. Ann Arbor shelter. I hope and wish that we can and will get the low or no kill policy instated. Raise more money to do this. Promote adoption better. Whatever it takes. Lives are at stake.
