Reinstate Prayer In Public Schools

Target:
Sherry Hembree, Owner, USSingleMilitary
Amendment 1 of The United States Constitution tells us that we have the right to free speech.  It also tells us that no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or of the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
In our public schools The Pledge Of Allegiance is not used anymore because it contains the word GOD.   Our children are taught Darwins theory, but cannot pray in school.  How can we as Americans One Nation Under God not keep our values, and allow this to happen?
WE THE PEOPLE ARE TAKING BACK OUR RIGHTS!
The Right To Have Prayer in Public Schools ,Thoose who do not wish to participate  can  Stand Quietly.

But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.
They say it is against their constitutional rights. What about ours? It say's right in the first amendment, that there is suposed to be NO LAWS AGAINST RELIGION. (Religious rights) What about our freedom of speech? That takes that away. This is suposed to be a free country. What only to nonchristians? That dont sound free to us. We know that you are a christian, so please ask God for guidance, on this matter. We are signing this petition so you can reconsider this unfair, unconstitutional law.
I Pledge AllegianceI Promise to be faithful and true (Promise my loyalty)to the flagto the emblem that stands for and representsof the United Statesall 50 states, each of them individual, and individually represented on the flagof Americayet formed into a UNION of one Nation.and to the RepublicAnd I also pledge my loyalty to the Government that is itself a Republic, a form of government where the PEOPLE are sovereign, for which it stands, this government also being represented by the Flag to which I promise loyalty.one Nation under God,These 50 individual states are united as a single Republic under the Divine providence of God, "our most powerful resource" (according to the words of President Eisenhower)Indivisible, and can not be separated.   (This part of the original version of the pledge was written just 50 years after the beginning of the Civil War and demonstrates the unity sought in the years after that divisive period in our history)with LibertyThe people of this Nation being afforded the freedom to pursue "life, liberty, and happiness",and JusticeAnd each person entitled to be treated justly, fairly, and according to proper law and principle, for All.And these principles afforded to EVERY AMERICAN, regardless of race, religion, color, creed, or any other criteria.   Just as the flag represents 50 individual states that can not be divided or separated, this Nation represents millions of people who can not be separated or divided.
Please Mr. Bush, we need God in America Again.
Thanks, and God Bless you.

I believe that prayer does need to be in school, but I believe that the Pledge of Allegiance is a lie, becasue we do not have justice or equality for all and this is not one nation under god.

I believe prayer should be brought back in schools. Cause ever since it has been taken out , our schools are getting worse and dangerous. It's sad when our school are more dangerous then the streets.

I have the right to say prayer when ever I want and my child should have the same rights, The school were much better when I went to school....we had prayers in school. Look at our kids now they are killing one another. Let prayers back in school and those that don't want to pray they don't have to. Thank you for listening to what I have to say.

My right to feel safe while worshiping the ONE TRUE GOD has been taken away. I love my Lord and Savior, and we have seen this country fall to pieces since He is no longer a part of America. Wake up People.

Matthew 6:5 - 7 says: 5. And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Pretty clear, isn't it? Public prayer is compared to hypocrisy, and private prayer is valued. It seems that in the bible, a text which Christians themselves claim to be at the center of their faith, condemns public prayer as hypocrisy. The family exhibiting bowed heads, joined hands, and audible words about Jesus at the local restaurant? Hypocrites. Christian extremists who believe that all school children should have to recite prayers in school? Hypocrites. The Senators who begin their daily meetings with public prayer? Hypocrites. If you are one of these people and reading this makes you mad, I point out that this is what your book says. If you weren't aware of this fact, I wonder how serious you are about your faith. Perhaps it is time to consider joining the reality-based community. On the other hand, if you knew this was in your bible and simply ignored it, I have to ask what gives you license to selectively follow only those aspects of your religion you like?

Its sad to see the our country and the world turn their back on God. Look at what man has created. They would rather forget about God and do what they want. Its depressing to see. The violence, rape, abortions, homosexuality, etc., as the years go on the worse everything becomes. Our rights are slowly being taken away. I pray that we as individuals can come together and turn back to God, he's the only one that can help us get everything back on track. I personally have taken a stand when I was in school. I spoke what was on my mind and I would go around in shirts that would say Addicted to Jesus, or something else. I would get in trouble for it, but it never stopped me. I would through my rights out there telling them they couldn't censor me. More people need to do this, its the only way we will be able to keep our rights for the years to come.

We don't understand why our children have no morals or conscience ... we took it from them. We removed all moral guidance and instruction as to right and wrong, yet we expect them to abide by those beliefs anyway?? We instruct them that they can follow their 'own beliefs and rules' but are surprised when they are different from our own. You can't honestly believe that the conditions of our schools now are better than they were before prayer was removed. At least children didn't need a bullet-proof vest to attend classes. They may not have agreed with the prayer being said, but I would rather my child come home a little confused about other's beliefs than never come home at all. Children are shooting the person sitting next to them in their classroom!! WAKE UP!! When those children grow up, they will be in the workplace with you and I. Can you imagine sitting at your desk and your secretary coming in and opening FIRE!!! Well, guess what- that's next. The children of today are tomorrow's adults. Put prayer and moral guidance BACK into schools before it's too late!

I went to catholic schools all throughout my life and I strongly believe that it is important to implement prayer in schools. Even in our university of toronto trinity college cafeteria we pray in latin before our meals. its very important to keep god in the lives of children.

Many students in America are Christians or have some faith in god, why can students learn about sex but they cannot say a prayer of two in school!

A moment of silence to reflect or pray quietly will not conflict with religion in the public schools. After all, many of the students ARE Christians. They would have free choice in using this quiet time.

I'm not sure who started the "taking God out" thing, but he or she better open their eyes and look at what a mess this world is! Take God out and he may allow you to be taken out!!! God is in control and all I can say is I feel sorry for all the people that doesn't know Him personally. It's the end times! For those who read the Bible knows this. My kids will be raised to believe in God, and if they want to say a Blessing over there food at school I dare anyone to say a thing. Don't try to take my childs freedom of speech. This is a sick and twisted world that we live in and God is who we all need to turn to. We all will stand before God one day and I'm happy to say I will have a place in heaven with Him!
