Reinstate Prayer In Public Schools

Amendment 1 of The United States Constitution tells us that we have the right to free speech.  It also tells us that no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or of the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
In our public schools The Pledge Of Allegiance is not used anymore because it contains the word GOD.   Our children are taught Darwins theory, but cannot pray in school.  How can we as Americans One Nation Under God not keep our values, and allow this to happen?
WE THE PEOPLE ARE TAKING BACK OUR RIGHTS!
The Right To Have Prayer in Public Schools ,Thoose who do not wish to participate  can  Stand Quietly.

But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.
They say it is against their constitutional rights. What about ours? It say's right in the first amendment, that there is suposed to be NO LAWS AGAINST RELIGION. (Religious rights) What about our freedom of speech? That takes that away. This is suposed to be a free country. What only to nonchristians? That dont sound free to us. We know that you are a christian, so please ask God for guidance, on this matter. We are signing this petition so you can reconsider this unfair, unconstitutional law.

Prayer should be reinstated in school. There are too many kids without morals, self esteem, compassion, selflessness, etc. They are too worried about who to date, what to wear, what party to go to, who to have sex with or what they can gain from any situation. We have more underage pregnancies now than when I was in school. There are more gangs and gang related violence. More school shootings. More cases of depression and rage in our children. Prayer needs to be brought back into the schools. Give the child the option to pray. If they don't want to participate, or it's not in compliance with their religious beliefs, don't force it. God doesn't want His word forced on anyone. Just like He doesn't want it forcefully taken away. Show our children the hope, love, understanding and compassion God has given us. God created us as parents to educate and love our children. To raise them according to His word. If we sit back silently, allowing others to take God from us, to belittle our heavenly Father, what are we actually teaching our children?

After Columbine, the gang problem, guns in school, etc. I think the kids are looking for some kind of devine guidance to care, to stop them. God is important. If children have atheist parents, the parents should be unselfish enough to realize there are serious issues in the schools that can only be addressed by spirituality with developing a cult mind. Many religions turn people into cultists without realizing it - they speak the same language, use the same words, and are intolerant of other beliefs. However, nothing on Earth is perfect and now the schools need help, serious help. I say bring God into the schools or at least bring spirituality. To save the kids, there is no other way.

This is discriminatory behavior! If jobs cannot discriminate based on religion, schools shouldn't have the right either! Children don't have jobs; going to school is their job! Take a stand for what the forefathers of this country fought to instill in it!

I don't think it is right that a person should be told they can not pray in school. I believe that a person's right of religious freedom is being violated. People of a different nationality have the right to speak a different language here and homosexuals are allowed to express their views where ever they see fit, but a person that wants to express their religion they are threatened with lawsuits and forced to hide their beliefs. Where is the fairness in that. This country has gone down hill in the last few years. This country is completely lack any morals and values and that sickens me. I can honestly say I am no longer proud to be an American. Especially when I am being dicriminated against because of my religios beliefs.

Prayer should be allowed and honored in schools. In God let us still Trust. If we don't our country is pathetic, and won't be blessed. Our young people are suffering because they are allowed to turn in school to the one source that can guide them. ONE hated woman took prayer out of schools, are we going to just let that get by? The future of our country is at stake.

We need prayer in school. We also need to pray for those that believe we shouldn't have prayer in schools. They really need to be lead to the Lord, but I blame us for letting it happen. We should have stood up then and told them how it was going to be instead of being passive and almost giving in to them. I will tell everyone about this petition that I can and again thank you for this page we need it!!

I am signing this petition for the message to be received by our new President Obama. I feel, regardless, of what president reads this petition, it is just as important that our country sees how valuable God/ Jesus Christ is to re- establish order and compassion back into our lives. Please read this message, Mr. President Obama, with a heart ready to accept that God is our real leader, and always will be. We humans are nothing without Him. Not even you. Thank you for your sincere, positive, and urgent response to this very important matter.

Prayer before the crisis is so much better. As soon as a school or university is in a place of trial by natural causes or some act of terror. Everyone wants to pray at the end of the situation. Let's store up treasures in heaven by placing prayer back in school. PRAYER FIRST!

I am in High School and I have seen the effects of prayer and I know that if prayer was back in school we wouldn't have so much chaos and evil in our schools and teenagers. If a student doesn't want to pray that's on them no one can force them to, they have a choice, but I know people that were in school when prayer was still allowed way back when there weren't many school shootings if any there were few teen pregnancies, teens had a high self-esteem, etc. P ray works, because if it wasn't for prayer I don't know where I would be. If we had people that truly prayed in school there would be change, and I believe that's why people banned it because they fear change for the better they want something to complain about, they want something to be angry about, they want something to make them scared, because they know if our children and this nation really prayed and call on the name of the Lord then change must come you can no longer be the same!!You have to die to yourself and your will and take on a new self and take on God's will. If we really prayed this country would have direction and we would have families and not broken homes, I mean if God's people prayed and turned from their evil ways then God will hear us from heaven and heal our land!!!!What if America prayed?

Our country was founded on Christian beliefs. We are at a time now when prayer is about the only thing we have left. It seems to me our country was in a whole lot better condition when there was prayer in school. Why is it athiests have a right to not pray and not be taught the bible but we as christians have to pay to be taught biblically. Why can't public schools be Christian and non believers pay for their private schools so as not to offend their ears. It seems to me that the children of athiest parents NEED to hear scripture or risk their own salvation. They may possibly lead their own parents into salvation. I fear if something does not change soon welcoming God back into our lives we will be in a whole lot of trouble that no amount of "change" can fix. If we truly want change we need to change back to our roots. GOD

As a parent of children in public school, I see why we need God so much in our schools. Muslims are allowed to wear their attire but my kids can't pray in public. Sad. There is so much wickedness and evil that happens in the schools which is makeing me want to homeschool just so my kids do not have to see that evil. I dont want a phone call saying someone shot my kid.I am disgusted by the schools and their policeis.

Our country was founded on In God We Trust! and we let one bitter, angry woman with a foul mouth change how our children view and see our great country! Shame on us. I am a grandmother of 6 and I homeschool some of my grandchildren so that they have the opportunity to learn what is right , morals, what our country really stands for and what really is important for our continued freedom here in America. We have turned from what our country was founded on ,God and then wonder what is wrong with our society today. We need prayer back in schools, we need to grasp hold and hold on firmly to what our forefathers gave their lives for, this great country and the belief that we serve an awesome God!
