I hurt everyday not know my family history.
I think it is WRONG without any PRO to not knowing about your original background for many reasons. Their are no bad things about seeing what your birthparents for records of health, tramatic issues and more.
It is OUR personal information. What if you were not able to view your own birth records?
For medical information would be the most important. Medicine has advanced so much in the last 20 years and every doctor needs a family history that adoptees cannot provide to help in their care
Because I was abused by adoptive parents, and if i can't find out that, then i would have to say what good is a family for?
The adoptee and family may experience severe physical or psycho-logical problems, the root cause of which may be found inthe birth records or in a family history. That has been an vexing issue for one family member and has hampered medical authorities. Not fair to any of the family, including the adoptee.
These people have a right to know who and where they came from.
Leslie Doyle -adoptee found at age 44 and feeling so so blessed.
Because we have the right to know who are families are. This is very important for us. Everyone should have the right to know where they came from.
Due to medical reasons and not having any idea what my backround is in regards to health at my age is more of a worry than it was when I was younger. Would be nice to know, don't you think?
I was only able to get this information because I was born in Ohio before 1964. No one has the Constitutional right to deny a person their identity.
Yes I do. I as his wife would like to know who his birth parents are.
