New Situtation:
Baby Thor and Andrew Yen Chen Wang were found in Guatemala on Friday, April 17, 2009. The courts in Guatemala want to begin a new custody battle to determine who should keep the child, even though the U.S. courts have already ruled on this matter. They are disregarding all the U.S. court rulings, including a warrant for Andrew's arrest and the order giving Maria full custody. They are ignoring the fact that Andrew can't even prove he's the baby's father and that he is in Guatemala illegally. They are ignoring their obligations under the Hague Convention, and they are keeping Baby Thor in an orphanage until they reach a verdict. Maria speaks very little Spanish and is in shock and agony over what is happening. She needs our support. She needs donations to pay for the Guatemalan attorney. She needs translators to help spread the story in Guatemala. She may even need an interpreter in Guatemala to help her communicate in and out of court. She needs media contacts and letters to the Guatemalan government in support of her case. Maria needs us! Thor needs us!

Se localizó al bebé Thor y a Andrew Yen Chen Wang en Guatemala el viernes, 17 de abril de 2009. Los tribunales de Guatemala quieren empezar una nueva lucha de custodia para determinar quien debería quedarse con el niño aunque los tribunales estadunidenses ya han declarado un fallo en este asunto. Estan haciendo caso omiso de los fallos de los tribunales estadunidenses, que incluyen un auto de arresto para Andrew y una orden judicial cuya da la custodia exclusiva a Maria. Estan haciendo caso omiso del hecho que Andrew ni siquiera puede comprobar que el es el padre del niño y que está en Guatemala ilegalmente. The Background:
On Valentine's Day Thor Wang, a little American boy of Swedish-Taiwanese descent disappeared from Los Angeles. The father, Yen-Chen "Andrew" Wang did not return the boy after his four hour allotted visitation. This is NOT a custody battle; this is parental child concealment. According to the final judgment of the Superior Court of California, the mother, Maria "Mia" Danielsson Wang has sole custody of baby Thor and the baby's father Wang had visitation rights only.

We the undersigned, urge the Guatemalan Government to send Thor Wang back to the U.S.A with his mother, Maria Danielsson Wang immediately. We ask that the Guatemalan courts honor and comply with the rulings from the California Superior Court, issuing a warrant for Andrew Yen Chen Wang's arrest for the crime of child abduction and deprivation of child custody, and awarding Maria Danielsson Wang full physical and legal custody of the child, Thor Wang. We urge the Guatemalan Government not to be deceived by Andrew's false allegations and obviously paid & trained fake witnesses. Andrew does not normally keep a home in Guatemala and in fact does not have legal permission to stay in Guatemala. The allegation that Maria ever "abused" the child is an absurd distortion of the truth. Andrew is the manipulator and the agressor, not Maria, as evidenced by the three emergency protective orders requested in the course of one year (2008/2009) in order to protect Maria and Thor from Andrew's whims and tantrums. We urge the Guatemalan Government to cooperate with the U.S. & Swedish Governments, the Interpol agents (the international police) and the Secret Service, and to comply with the Hague Convention all of which demand that the minor, Thor Wang, be returned immediately to his mother, Maria Danielsson Wang. We urge the Guatemalan Government to not only be just and fair, but compassionate for a mother whose child was ripped from her illegally and inexcusably two months ago. Thank you for reading this letter thoroughly and thank you for your aid in this matter.

Nosotros, los infrascritos, urgimos al Gobierno de Guatemala que regrese a Thor Wang a los EE.UU. con su madre, Maria Danielsson Wang, de modo inmediato. Pidimos que los tribunales guatemaltecos honran y cumplan con los fallos del Tribunal Superior de California, que ha emitido un auto de arresto para Andrew Yen Chen Wang por el delito de rapto de un menor, y privacion de la patria potestad, y otorgando a Maria Danielsson Wang la custodia exclusiva física y legal del menor, Thor Wang.
