We the undersigned are disappointed with the programming changes that have been announced on 96.5 The Mountain. We are loyal listeners, and we feel that the changes are not for the benefit of the Chattanooga market. Chattanooga is a diverse town, and we do not need a cookie-cutter station. The Mountain was perfect for this town, and it was loved by many. Please revert to its previous state, including bringing back the Jason and Brad Morning Show and returning to the music previously played on the station.

The Mountain was a great station, when they were playing all the great alternative stuff. I kid you not it was the only radio station I ever listened to. Usually I just listen to C.D.s because I'm so picky about what I'm listening to. The Mountain was just about the only station I cared to tune into when I did listen to the radio. Honestly the mountain blows now. I rarely listen to the radio, and now when I do I steer very clear of 96.5. I understand it's probably the corporate executive types that made the decision "let's cater to a different demographic", "we need more snot nosed 12 year old girls listening". I say we stick it to them, bring back the old 96.5!!

I'm a pastry chef so I get up at insane hours. The only radio station that I use to listen to was the old 96.5 with Brad and Jason in the morning. The humor and music was the only thing that got me through the day. I am now currently forced to listen to the spanish radio stations because I'm sickened by the new 96.5. This reminds me of when MTV stopped playing music and focused on more reality tv. Please bring back my sanity!!!!!

The "new" mountiain sucks. I really miss the good alternative rock that we all loved, and i REALLY miss the "Live & Local" morning shows!! Now we have some syndicated BS that's boring to everyone but 12 year olds. I mean, give me a break. You guys all used to pride yourselves on how you were the only station in Chattanooga of that genre music with a live and local show. What a bunch of sellouts. Now if I want a live and local show I have to listen to US 101, and although it's been painful, I'M GETTING USED TO IT. Seriously, bring back what used to be. You guys were so much cooler then.

To have had a "local" morning show in a market the size of Chattanooga that reached all the way to my home in North GA (where there is no radio market), was a great part of my morning. I miss the generational gap banter between Jason and Brad! To have turned on the radio one morning, expecting to hear the boys, and be subjected to Nelly....Please.

I love Jason and Brad, but I can't stand the most of the music that's on the staion now. Plus, the morning show is the most annoying thing I've ever had to endure. Seriously, it makes me want to stab out my brain with a rusty razor.

I appreciate the connection that local DJs have with their audience. My love of listening to the radio vs the Ipod involves the people...the banter of the caller and the DJ. I miss the Jason and Brad show. The argumentive dialogue was like Championship Wrestling. I knew it was fake, but I let myself be caught up in it despite my common sense. Jason and Brad know their listeners and they love them anyway...Kraddick...he plays for a homongenized audience who will take what's on the rack because it's cheaper and easier to get. Guess that makes your morning programing Walmart-radio.

The popular music draws my children's attention....then they begin making lewd comments and having on air conversations with kids who are OBVIOUSLY underage that includes sexual comments. This should not be allowed. I would not complain if it were targeted to adults, however, this is the music that my teens and preteens listen to. This should not be allowed. If your gonna play kiddie songs, then keep the conversation "kid-friendly." I like the other format much better anyway.

Too many of todays radio station have gone r&b and hip-hop. We are forgeting that rock and roll was a major breakthrough in music and we need to continue to cherish and support it. Plus changing a radio station in a town where only five coem in really sucks!

I had been listening to the Mountain since I was in 8th grade. I am now a grad students at UGA and I was very disappointed when I came home to Dalton last week and heard the new version on the air. For the first time since I've been driving I don't have 96.5 on my presets anymore. They need to do like Coke. When "New Coke" didn't work they went back to Coca-Cola Classic.
