UPDATE Oct. 08~Mother Arrested For Child Endangerment

http://www.wkbw.com/news/local/30450759.htmlBy Jennifer Stanonis
Watch the story The mother arrested over the weekend for living in a filthy apartment with her young children on Lincoln Place in Lockport, has a connection to a recent case of alleged child neglect. 29 year old Shauniqua Rodriguez was charged with endangering the welfare of a child in the recent case. Sources tell 7 NEWS this is the same mother who use to live at a house on Washburn Street and is part of an ongoing investigation of an incident that happened there about a year ago. Allegedly her little boy was sodomized by a pit bull. The mother was changing the young boy's diaper and briefly left the room, that's when the incident happened.

Bear has been at the shelter since July 10th 2007 confined in a 3x6 foot concrete kennel. There is NO reason to keep Bear locked up any longer. Bear should be released to a rescue where he will receive vet care, exercise and proper treatment and training until the case is closed.

We the undersigned:

Kindly ask that you please improve Bears conditions by allowing him to be released to a rescue where he will be cared for, receive the fresh air and exercise that every animal needs, have his health needs met and be trained and ready for possible adoption once this case is resolved. There have been many rescues that have offered to take Bear and care for him, as well as those that wish to adopt Bear.

We appreciate you taking the time to review this matter and look forward to hearing from you.
