Save Trees! Ban Imprelis

Imprelis, also known as aminocyclopyrachlor, is a DuPont-manufactured herbicide that has been connected with the deaths of thousands of trees since its conditional approval in October 2010. Demand that the EPA revoke its approval until this toxic chemical can undergo additional safety testing.
We, the undersigned, request that the Environmental Protection Agency revoke its conditional approval of the DuPont-manufactured herbicide Imprelis.

As a recent New York Times article points out, thousands of trees across the nation have been damaged or killed in areas where Imprelis was used. Contrary to previous testing, this herbicide is not environmentally friendly or safe. In addition to its harmful impact on trees, researchers in New York State have found evidence to suggest that Imprelis leaches into groundwater.

We ask that the EPA take immediate action to halt further use of this chemical and resume safety testing for this product. Please do not let Imprelis continue to hurt the environment.

Thank you.
