I've had this idea for a while and in the past few weeks I think it is a matter that should be taken seriously to hand.
The world NEEDS to change the paparazzi laws, it's just disgusting how they can follow Britney and other celebrities around like its natural, it's not right, and it needs to be sorted out.
I feel photographs should only be taken by the paparazzi in needs of a magazine shoot, a advertisement photoshoot and award ceremonies and events.
Am I the only one who feels something needs to be done?
Let me know.
I'm going to set myself a number of targets as soon as I reach one hundred I'm going to up the anti on how many signetures that I have to get, i.e. when i get one hundred, i'll put the target up by another hundred the higher the rate of signetures the higher the target goes.

Somehow people with cameras can get carried away and just pop off photos in a persons face without asking? We are becoming much too much voyeuristic society as a whole I think. One time at a parade for MLK I tried and tried to not be obvious but to stay out of the paper or any pictures for my own personal reasons, and sure enough I made the paper bigger than billy! As if they knew I was trying to avoid and snapped me up? A reputable photographer from the same media source should ask first before shooting. I have been asked before in that setting.

Legalized, media-endorsed gossip has brought the standards of our north american society to a staggering low and our reputation abroad as a gossip-mongering, malicious society - how embarrassing! Because it's gone on so long and is endorsed by so many, most young people don't even know that gossip is wrong or why. It doesn't just hurt the celebrities that are gossiped and lied about, it affects our entire society. Britney Spears' troubles are not news, no matter how many people want to gossip about her and the fact that her business is plastered allover mainstream newshours daily is appalling! Ordinary citizens need to be reminded that gossip hurts everyone involved, regardless of the economic costs to an industry born of greed and malice. By putting legislation in place to combat it, it's letting people know how serious the issue is. In the meantime, the media crap barrage is worse than trying to avoid drugs, because it really is in your face all the time, no matter where you go. Some of us have had more than enough and want it to STOP! Stop supporting it and tell your friends why. Don't buy the magazines, watch the shows or surf the net. When I tried to search for this kind of site, all I could find were more celebrity gossip sites. Disgusting.

2/20/2008: The dictionary calls these photographers "aggressive" but I don't think Federico Fellini ever dreamed they would contribute to death when he coined the term in 1959 (La dolce vita). Laws help control others that are aggressive to a criminal intent, and, in the future, if paparazzi can't see the damage some of them have contributed to and set their own controls, our Federal American and individual State Laws will have no alternative than to enact laws to control paparazzi. Hope it all happens before more damages are incurred.

TMZ is just plain awful. I watched a video of them bothering the Baldwin family while loading up groceries! One of them was just trying to put his babies into his car with elderly family members present. I could not stomach the shameless perverse sense of entitlement the papparazzi showed in bothering this family! It was very obvious that the reporter was completely uninvited!

First, I think everyone should stop buying the rags that show all these photo's of celebrities being stalked by photographers.And stop watching the TV shows that show these unauthorized photos or videos of celebrities. Recently, I had a peak at a well known 'respectable' entertainment magazine. In so many of the pictures, the celebrities were caught off guard and you can see fear and or disgust in their faces. You will hear that people who become celebrities have to expect to be hounded by photographers. Why? Where is their right to live in privacy and to be able to go out in public without fighting off human scum and their cameras? I don't need to see another picture of Britney Spears or some other harassed entertainer. Britney is sick. Why do these scum harass her and why is this type of harassment not made illegal? How is Britney ever to heal with the media scum frenzy that searches her out - even at her house on an ambulance stretcher. Shame....shame...shame on all the photographers that stalk celebrities and do not allow them to live their private lives in peace. And shame on our govenments for continuing to allow this type of harassment.

let me tell you something celebs need privacy! they are humans too. paparazzi need to ask permission before taking pics or videos of celebs. no stalking no cruel words should be said about them if they dont want their pics taken. no information should be publish about them unless its true and the celebs approve it. no more sex videos being sole worldwide. any thing having to do with a celeb must be approve by them before publishing.etc

I feel the press goes too far with their actions. Mainly pertaining to Britney Spears. I feel like she and others need to be protected but her situation really hits hard with me. She is a human being and more importantly a mother when media hunt her and her children are with her or not with her they are putting her life at risk. Nothing! gives them the right to endanger innocent children or threaten the life of their mother! They are direct contributors to her behavior they have pushed so hard they have crossed a line with her sanity. A child deserves their mother and the best she has to offer so they need to back off because she is a person who doesn't deserve this harrassment!
