We the undersigned are sickened by the cruel methods of euthanasia of animals. Until the time comes that there are no unwanted pets in this country, the ONLY humane form of euthanasia for animals is lethal injection performed by a qualified veterinarian. Gassing animals is an unacceptable, cruel and inhumane practice and needs to be outlawed immediately.

Gassing is the most horrific form of death for the animals as well as being very dangerous for humans. IV with sedation is the most humane way and also less expensive. You need to stop gassing, let rescues come in and try to save animals instead of destroying them. Apparently a new government is needed there, so the citizens need to step up and get some animals loving people in there. The gas chamber needs to come down ASAP.

Mahatma Gandhi said, "A greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." Is there a greater barometer on the moral progress of a nation than that? Killing an animal should never be a matter of convenience like throwing out the trash. There should be no difference in killing an animal as it would be killing a human being. They are a sentient being, and unlike human beings, are innocent beings and should be accorded the same or even more resistance to killing them. Their existence lies in our hands which means that we have a moral obligation to support and defend their lives to an even greater extent and to do it with the utmost compassion. Anything less would be not just a moral deficiency but extremely inhumane. It doesn’t take much to do the right thing. Do the right thing for your country, your children and for future generations to come.

Gassing is wrong. I think Animal Shelters that kill should give HUGE discounts or free spaying/neutering. That way, there won't be any more gassing because owners if the dogs and cats wont have any litters of puppies or kittens just to throw in the shelter again.

The killing of any dog, unless it is vicious and cannot be rehabilitated, is a soulless, heartless crime that speaks to the WORST in humanity - it should be illegal nationwide.
