I use canvas bags and encourage others to do so. I have written to my local grocery stores encouraging them to sell canvas bags, which they did.
Re-use & RECYCLE!
I've been recycling my plastic bags for several years now; I have purchased several reusable grocery bags and always have a few in my car. I estimate that I have saved at least 6 bags a week for the past 6 months, which amounts to over 150 bags, and that's just one family! I am writing to the editor of my newspaper to get the word out about plastic bag consumption.
