Stop supporting sweatshops

Stop supporting sweatshops

Target:
All companies proven to support sweatshops on the website: www.nosweat.org
Sponsored by:
Whenever you go into a clothes shop or supermarket, you see a 'FairTrade section'. Is that enough? If one rack of T-Shirts is LABELLED as being ethical, what does that say about the rest of the clothes in the shop? If one brand of chocolate is made using FairTrade sugar and cocoa, what are all the rest made from?
The sad truth is that every day poverty stricken people, including children, are working and dieing in Sweatshops. Sign below to show your disgust to the above companies, who have all been exposed for their exploitation of workers.

Why is this even happening? Isn't this the land of plenty? Plenty more money to stuff in the goverments pockets, is more like it. What an atrocity.

The above companies are only the tip of the iceburg unfortunately. What a sad, greedy world this has become when corporations don't want to pay fair wages and have fair employment practices. We live in very disgusting times. Thought that was abolished since Dickens and feudal days.

I am personally taking the time to buy from companies that are attempting to eliminate suppliers using sweatshops. Thank you for listening.

If many people join together, in an organized way, using their purchasing power to reward companies that engage in fair trade and genuine ethical conduct, and boycott companies that abuse employees in sweatshops, and engage in other unethical practices, that organized public purchasing power will be a powerful incentive for companies to demonstrate a good record in terms of safeguarding employee's rights, consumer safety, and environmental sustainability. Companies follow the money, and "money talks" when many consumers use their purhasing power to insist on fair trade and ethical corporate conduct. Someone should start a website publicizing the records of various corporations, in terms of how their policies and behavior impacts important social issues such as, employee's rights, consumer safety, consumer satisfaction, environmental sustainability, and the public interests, so that consumers can make purchasing decisions accordingly.

Public awareness of this exploitation of workers is a positive way of decreasing their sales. My family and friends will not support these companies.

A sad commentary on the nature of man. This more or less is paid slavery minus the "child work" laws. This sort of thing should NOT be happening anywhere but does, 3rd World, EU, and the good ole U.S.
