URGE US VOTERS TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED

Target:
All US Taxpayers Who Demand Some "NEW RULES OF THE ROAD"
Sponsored by:

US Taxpayers and Citizens have had enough of the Washington establishment. Regardless of who wins the Presidency and who is in control of Congress, we demand a new structure to government.  Members of Congress and the President are focused on lobbyist donations and are always focused on raising money for their campaigns vs. doing the "people's business". US Citizens are fed up, we NEED TO DEMAND FUNDAMENTAL CHANGE, now is the time. Some ideas:
1. Change President term to one 6 year term.  This way the President is not "campaigning" from day 1.  Citizens of the USA have the right to "recall" the President by vote halfway during the term if the majority feel that the President is not doing the "peoples business".
2. Both US Senate and US House members are limited to (3) 4-year terms.  This is not a career, but an opportunity to serve the people of the United States of America. It should be treated as an honor, not a way to make money on the back of taxpayers.
3.  Send other ideas....
ONCE WE REACH 1,000 SIGNATURES OR MORE, WE WILL SEND TO LEADERS OF CONGRESS TO DEMAND THESE CHANGES AND NEW IDEAS BROUGHT UP BY PETITIONERS...

Please sign this petition and pass to others you know. The goal is to forward this petition and the results to our "government leaders" prior to the election.  We also want you to write to your local newspaper editors to turn up the volume on these ideas and others.  It is amazing that us Americans have not truly been heard from, but are relying on our so-called leaders such as Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi to solve our problems.  The Presidential candidates are clueless as well.
Thank you.

There needs to be 2 terms for Reps, 2 terms for Sens and 2 terms for Pres. You cannot change districts to remain a Rep or Sen. To remain in Congress longer than 2 terms you have to move from one house to the other. ALL loopholes have to be closed. Funny how prior to the election Congress had a 10% favorability and only about 10% of the members were changed out. I guess everyone is unhappy with Congress except "their guy/gal". We wouldn't need term limits if "we the people" would just refuse to vote for the incumbents especially if nothing ever changes for the good of EVERYONE, not just select groups.

Taxpayers, stop handling your funds toward Obama and his transition team, they're trying to get you and your family bankrupt with nothing to do for a living. It's time to declare this election a fraud and make real recounts in all 50 states without looking at the electoral votes. GOD FORBID ELECTORAL COLLEGES AND PORK-LADEN SPENDING!

We have had enough of some people in congress that have made a career of their jobs, and get nothing done for the people they represent. It is evident that we need fresh new faces and ideas to replace the old and tired congressional members who do nothing but create their own wealth at the expense of the taxpayers. We must have term limits for all congressional member and then perhaps the people will get some representation.

and 4. Abolish the Electoral College. Let the people of the United State choose the President as it should be not the Electoral College. Let's leave out the middle man. We are in an age where the Electoral College is outdated and no longer necessary. Get rid of them.

It is an UNFAIR process tp let a few states with early primary elections determine how the rest of the States are stuck voting. My state doesn't primary until August although we did caucus earlier. By the time our Primary came around in August our Caucus winning nominee was out of the race and no longer on the ballot. Set one Primary election date all over the country just like it is set for the General Election. We simply need to be able to vote for the candiate we feel best represents us and not be handed a couple nominees left because the first couple sets of states don't support and leaves little chance for that Candidate to make it to the other state ballots for those who feel that another candidate would be a better one. So set a Primary Election date all over the country or leave all candidates on the ballots in all states until the primaries are done in ALL states. Get rid of the electoral college and make sure that the popular vote determines the candidate and eventually the President.

Some of the people in congress have been there too many years and live in the past and make their decisions accordingly. I agree completely with a six year term for president with the voters able to vote them out in the event of not taking care of the country in our best interest.

There is no question that our system has been bastardized by the elected members of congress for the past thirty years. Give them credit. They figured it out. And the citizens who keep re-electing them deserve them. Term linmits is the only answer to save us from ourselves. The president can't be blamed for everything. They're only in office maximum eight years. This has been going on longer. Examine the history of congress. Earmarks, special projects, back room deals, bribes, immoral bahavior, you name it. Lets start with the Teds. Throw out Stevens and Kennedy immediately, along with Frank and Dodd. Eliminate all lobbyists. Flat tax rate. If 10% is good enough for God, it should be good enough for Congress. Reduce or eliminate Congress' retirement benefits. Does the average citizen know how much they really receive? I could go on, but I'm too angry about our"government" to continue. Lowest rating ever.

Congress (House and Senate) should introduce bills with only one issue. One issue and only one issue per bill. No more "stuffing" the proposed legislation with unrelated issues. This means if they have to vote 90 times instead of one time, then so be it. They work for the people believe it or not.

Limit money spent on campaigning. No politician (or party) should be able to buy an office. Limit the time allowed to campaign for both the incumbent and the new entrant for an office. Have one election day for the entire U.S. for primaries. Do away with caucuses. Have the same rules for all parties for determining the winner of the primary. The % rule of the Democrats is the fairest and best represents the will of the people. Limit terms of the Congress to two four year terms for both the Senate and the House. Abolish the Electoral college Have a voting day holiday for the general election. Put a stop to Congress voting for their own raises and benefits and have the citizens vote on it. We could have an executive committee evaluate and make recommendations every four years. Require a certain number or percentage that a Senator or Representative must be in attendance when Congress is in session. If they do not meet the requirement, fire them. We are their employers and we should expect as much from them as our employers expect from us.

Campaign funding caps. No one candidate should "buy" their position. National Voting Day. This should be a national holiday. The entire country is off, so its citizens can vote. Birth Certificates & Naturalization Papers must be presented to vote. This will curtail voter registration fraud and voter fraud.

Since the elected officails are unable or unwilling to curtail their greed and represent the American people and their oath of office means nothing it time to repalce every one of them. It time to balance the budget, this government can not continue spending our future, Its time to stop illigal immigrants and the American tax payers supporting them. the elected offical primary mission is to protcect the U. S. constitution and most of these people haven't even read it.

Terms should be limited to three for the house and the senate. 1/3 of the senate and the house should be up for election / reelection at the end of each term. All of the benefits of each member should be reviewed and adjusted to something that is more palatable (no more lifetime benefits)

I think (3) 4 year terms is still to long it should be only 2..... And as far as president it's impossible to get them out now two 4 year terms should be left alone as all the problems are with the dopes in congress!

Term limits for Senate and Congress should be limited to 2 4 year terms. after all if you can not get any positive changes in place for your constituents affected in an 8 year time frame then you should not be in the position. this will create a flow of new Ideas and it should facilitate to eliminate Pork Barrel spending. the Lobbyists that are running the nation will be on a limited relationship with the incumbents. Perhaps the Change that our country needs will come from elimination of Political Dynasty's. this will let the flow of new Ideas enter the legislative processes.
