PLEASE stop poisoning our province!

The spraying has already begun!

Toxic pesticides are being bombarded on the highways and scenic routes throughout the province of Newfoundland.

A pesticide that is known to persist for 10 years or more!

This is why our government is using it, in a effort to reduce the labor needed for brush cutting they are poisoning our citizen, wildlife, water & air!

Would you travel to a place that poisons its citizens?

Do you frequently drive our highways & scenic routs? - Better keep your windows up and vents closed or you will be exposed to toxic Agent White (Tordon 101) among other toxic pesticides.

Do you pick berries, hunt or fish? Do you camp, travel or make pit-stops along our roads? You'd better not - and maybe not for the next 10 years!

We, the undersigned, urge the government of Newfoundland & Labrador to stop spraying toxic pesticides on provincial roads & highways:

WHEREAS The federal Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development stated in his annual report that "pesticides in the environment have been linked to lung diseases, reproductive problems and birth defects, developmental disorders, allergic reactions, lowered resistance to disease in humans, and cancer";

WHEREAS There are several safer method of clearing brush than persistent and toxic chemicals.

THEREFORE, we, the undersigned, call on the Government of Newfoundland & Labrador to STOP the spraying now to protect the wildlife and citizens of Newfoundland and Labrador.
