Yahoo! Japan - Stop Selling Whale and Dolphin Meat Online

Yahoo! Japan is the sole remaining major online retailer selling whale and dolphin meat online — a practice that is inhumane and, according to a new report, unhealthy to people who purchase the meat.

Scientists with the UK-based Environmental Investigation Agency found that whale and dolphin meat sold on the site contained 47 times the recommended safe level of mercury.

Whales and dolphins are some of the most intelligent creatures on the planet, capable of feeling emotions, compassion, and pain. And mercury is one of the most harmful poisons that humans can ingest, causing birth defects and cancer.

Help save whales and dolphins and safeguard public health. Call on Yahoo! Japan to stop selling whale and dolphin meat now...

Yahoo Japan Advertising Executives – We are asking that you put an end to online sales of whale and dolphin meat where people are subjected to possible mercury contamination as documented by the UK-based EIA. Reconsider doing the right thing for the health and well-being of the consumer and remove these online sales immediately.
