Give us our fun back, Early lockouts start more fights!!
The lockouts in Sydney, CBD; Manly and more clubbing areas in- Australia have been changed to have a requirement of 1.30am lockout and no drinks after 3am. There is also no bottle shops open after 10pm. This doesn't make anyone's nights safer in fact it has just reduced Australians' enjoyment and tourism to Australia's clubs. Also more fights have been taking place since the introduction of this new system. Next they will be re-introducing prohibition, where are our rights???
Why should everyone be punished for our drunk assholes stupidity?
I think that people should be banned if they have a record for violence, thus stopping the problem not punishing the innocent.
Dear Tony Abbott,
I am writing to you to ask that you reconsider your new policies on alcohol venues in Sydney Central Business District and Manly. I believe that you are unfairly punishing the majority for a problem caused by the minority. Furthermore I propose that a better idea would be banning the troublemakers and violent individuals that cause the problems.
I agree that there is an issue of violence that needs to be resolved but unfortunately the new imposed lockouts has excelerated these on-going issues not reduced them.
These new lockout, drink cut off and bottle shops closure times has decreased tourism and the enjoyment of the public at wide.
In conclusion I believe it would more beneficial to find a more effective solution to the issue at hand. Thank-you for you time. Please see the attached petition.
