Save the Tree Canopy of Brookhaven, GA

J Max Davis is quoted saying "a tree is a tree" at a work session earlier this year.

We need to let him know 100% that is not true. We need to save our old growth trees and we need to let the city know we do not want all of this high density with the lost of our old growth trees.

Please tell the City of Brookhaven we want to save the old growth canopy of trees in Brookhaven. Too many trees are being cut down for rapid growth of high density of town homes, condos, and apartments. Having developers clear cut old grown trees to replant small trees and pay small fines is not acceptable. We need to let the Mayor, City Manager, all four councilmen, Planning Commission, and Zoning Board of Appeals know that the old growth trees is what makes the City Brookhaven beautiful.

Please share with your family, neighbors, and friends.

A new Tree Ordinance is being presented to the City Council and Mayor Tuesday, July 21, 2015@ 7pm. The proposed tree ordinance does not have strong wording to protect our old growth forest, it only has slightly higher fines for the developers. Please come to this meeting at City Hall on 4362 Peachtree Road and voice your concerns.

We need letters to tell the City of Brookhaven to strengthen the TREE ORDINANCE that they are working on RIGHT NOW! J Max Davis, Mayor, Quote, “A tree is a tree”. We need to let the city know that anything less than the City of Atlanta ordinance will not be acceptable!
