No GMOs for Breakfast!

Genetically modified foods are an uncertain health risk and an environmental danger, and many people are avoiding GMOs and petitioning for labeling and the Right-to-Know. With groups like the Non-GMO Project making it easier than ever to verify the presence of GMO foods, Kelloggs is remiss in not listening to those calling for change.  Tell Kelloggs not to gamble with our health and the environment, and stop using GMOs. Label their products with the Non-GMO Project.

Dear Mr. Hirst,

The controversy regarding GMOs is no secret. There needs to be better accountability and better research regarding food safety, and deeper investigation into impacts to the environment.  The truth is-no one knows if GMO foods are even safe to eat, let alone whether or not the environment is paying the price.

Additionally, the anti-GMO movement means loss of profit for Kelloggs, and with organizations like the Non-GMO Project, it's easier than ever to declare Kelloggs products GMO Free!  Can you afford to ignore this loss? Don't lose Kelloggs money; make the change and proclaim loudly Kelloggs stands for the environment and listens to the voice of the people and get those customers back-and more!

The reasons behind the suspicions of GMOs are many.  Can we afford to risk GMOs when it has been said that "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would only have four years of life left?" This certainly serves to underscore the importance of the bee-only one potential impact of GMO foods. The lovely Monarch butterfly is another potential victim-both of which are vital pollinators, not just for brightly colored flowers but also for the grains Kelloggs needs for its products! We cannot afford to ignore the warning signs of their peril; both are in decline.  We can't wait until tests are conclusive one way or the other regarding the impacts of GMO foods; we need to act now. I urge Kelloggs to be a part of that action and to proclaim it by certifying their actions through the Non-GMO Project.
Thank you.
