Psych Evaluation for Biting Baby Birds Head Off

  • by: Nyack Clancy
  • recipient: Warren County Sheriff's Office, Major Tommy Smith,- Warren County Attorney, Amy Milliken

29-year-old Bradley Heard of Rockfield, Kentucky, bit the head off a baby bird, and threw the head several feet away, because the baby bird was "chirping too loudly."

He plead guilty  to animal cruelty charges, and was ordered to pay a $500 fine- the maximum penalty.

He told the Warren County Sheriff's Office he was intoxicated, however plenty of people become intoxicated without committing violent acts of cruelty against helpless and defenseless creatures.

We ask that this man be sent for a complete psychiatric evaluation before he hurts a child and uses alcohol as an excuse for inexcusable behavior, which is clearly not normal, even while drinking.
