Stop the Greed, Stop Increasing NYU Tuition Fees

The rise of tuition fees especially affects the early decision applicants, and makes studying at NYU even more expensive.

I, the undersigned, would like to ask for your support through our petition to stop the greed and to stop increasing tuition fees for the coming year.

The decision of the New York University came as a shocker to all of the student when they raised tuition fees for the 2015-2016 academic year from $64,000 to $71,000. Although this includes room and board, it is still a fantastically expensive figure. The rise of tuition fees especially  affects the early decision applicants, who were given lower estimates before they accepted the offer to attend NYU. From our point of view, there is no reason for this college to be so expensive because students are already subsidizing research and other activities unrelated to teaching as well as a layer of bureaucratic employees. In addition, NYU's endowment is $3.5 billion dollars and certainly can cover part of the costs. That money should be used to make education affordable, not for the redistribution of wealth.

Therefore, I urge the NYU to stop raising the tuition fees and provide students with equal rights to education that's both high in quality and affordable. We appreciate your support in this matter.

The undersigned,
Skyler Thomas - Staffing Coordinator at https://www.landmarkcash.com
