Save the Children

I was raised to believe that people died
in order for me to have the right to worship God
in the way I believe I should
and that others could likewise do as they so please
here in America.

Yet,

my family has known what it is to be hungry
so that I could homeschool and/ or send my children to Christian School.

My family has known what it is to wash our clothes in the bathtub while bathing and hang them to dry, leaving them stained and hard-
definitely unprofessional looking-
so that I could homeschool and/or send my children to Christian School.

My family has known what it is to sweat at night in the deep Texas heat and struggle to sleep in order to save on electricity
so that I could homeschool and/ or send my children to Christian School.

We have even caved into public school pressure for a while,
resulting in one of our sons punching his beloved little sister
more times than I can count
and for back-talk/ rebellion against the simplest of requests
when they had previously been so sweet
yet had cried so often over
why they could not have such simple things,
such as a $0.50 cookie from McDonald's!

I am told I am free to serve and to worship as I feel called to do, but God's Word states:

He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Luke 10:27 "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6 "Do not quench the Spirit." 1 Thessalonians 5:19

Yet, you say I am not allowed to homeschool and/ or send my children to Christian School unless we are willing to perpetually starve and/ or eat meagerly,
sweat for countless sleepless nights,
wear stained, "unprofessional" clothing, etc.
when God is calling us
in our hearts,
souls,
minds,
and through the great power of the Holy Spirit
to get to know Him and worship Him all the time-
even while learning how to read,
how to write,
and understand history!

So, why did you teach me that I am free to worship my God in the way I believe is right and free to teach my children to worship their God

if you refuse to let me?

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" Matthew 4:4

PLEASE quit starving our nation's hungry children.
(They are hungry for His truths, which can be found in His Holy Word, the Bible.)

Support private school vouchers,
which give parents the FREEDOM to choose

where they send their children
to receive a free education
with their own tax money,
just as North Carolina has successfully been doing!

Stop forcing us to send our children daily-
all day-
into a world of disbelief.
