Humanitarian Visa for Ismael Vargas

On August 13, 2018 our mother Ancelma Vargas had a major stroke that caused damage to her left parietal lobe which inhibits her ability to speak and restricts movement on the right side of her body. Our mother has been struggling since her early 20s with cardiac issues, 2 major heart surgeries, congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation. Along with her health problems she found herself raising 4 children on her own. Our father was incarcerated for 10 years on drug related charges and 5 more years for crossing into the US territory to attend his Father's funeral. For 28 years my father missed many life changing events like his mother's funeral, holidays, the birth of his grandchildren, graduations, birthdays, and so many important moments because of his past mistakes. Since his release he has been a model citizen, a father, brother, uncle, and a great friend.

Our mother has been the rock of the family, always reminding us the importance of being together as a family through the good and the bad. She had a choice to leave our father 28 years ago when he was incarcerated and then deported but she chose to stay with him to show us the true meaning of love and family. Her time since has been split between being with the love of her life in Mexico and being with her children in the US. She sacrificed so much throughout our lives to raise us and give us the opportunities she didn't have, giving up what was best for her to give the best to us. We cannot put into words how much she has sacrificed because frankly it would be too long to list. We, her children, family, and friends ask that you permit my father Ismael Vargas to be along her side for her recovery. As adults we, her children and family, all work and are unable to be with her 24 hours a day has doctors have requested. The best chance at recovery requires the support of family, we know that having the family united would be the best chance at our mother's recovery and having our father here would lift the burden from all of us.

We, her children, family and friends are signing below to attest to the good moral character of Ismael Vargas and are grateful for the opportunity you have given us to grant him entry to the United States of America so that he can be by his wife's side for her recovery in the coming months.
