Tell Michigan to Investigate Flint Mayor for Taking Water Charity Funds

In February a Flint, Mich., employee reported to City Administrator Natasha Henderson that Mayor Karen Weaver had allegedly been instructing employees to redirect donors seeking to contribute to Flint's official water crisis charity, Safe Water/Safe Homes to Mayor Weaver's fund, "Karenabout Flint."

Just three days after Henderson contacted Flint's legal council, requesting an investigation into these claims, Mayor Weaver fired Henderson without good cause. Henderson is now seeking legal action against Mayor Weaver and the City of Flint.

If you believe Natasha Henderson should not have been fired for addressing potential corruption and Flint's mayor and legal council should face an external investigation conducted by Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette, please add your name!

To whom it concerns:

In light of whistleblower allegations made by Flint City Administrator Natasha Henderson regarding possible impropriety, and her subsequent dismissial, we the undersigned request that your office conduct a formal investigation into claims that Flint Mayor Karen Weaver had illegally directed a city employee and a volunteer to decieve individuals seeking to contribute to a legitimate chartity to instead donate to Mayor Weaver's so-called "Karenabout Flint" fund.
