According to The Humane Society of the US, 3-4 million cats and dogs are killed in shelters in the United States every year...this has been going on for years now and its gone on long enough. some local animal shelters do not allow enough time to rehome misplaced animals if a pet owner passes away or one has been dropped off at the shelter or picked up by animal controll.. they usually pts = put them sleep after 48 hours sometimes 72 hours..animals need to be given a fair chaince not discarded within a few days its cruel and sensless.yes i believe in spay and neutering your pets to help prevent this tradgedy from happining to inocent animals who have no voice..we need more no kill shelters available at least 2-3 in every county., i urge people to stop buying pets from breeders and pet stores, animal shelters need to get there pets adopted, there is so many that need love and good homes.. i urge people who have land were they could take at least 5-10 animals to adopt out and rehome them..it sure would take the load off the all ready crowed kill zone animal shelters..i realize not everyone is in a postion to do just that but we have to start somewere. we are asking that a law be passed on animal shelters nationwide to give every animal 120 days to get adopted...shelters who violate this 120 day law will be subjected to stiff fines of $1500.00 for each violation.. our animals need our help im asking for 1000 signatures to help our animal friends out... help us pass douglas's law. he is a animal owner and a animal lover... we thank you and our furry friends thank you..
