Meerut, India; Enforce Stricter Laws to Stop Poaching That Left Leopard Dead

Please sign and share this petition worldwide in our continued efforts to put an end to poaching throughout India, not only by implementing laws against such practices but strictly enforcing those laws. Since laws currently are not followed through, another poaching occurred involving a female leopard!

A recent report on the India times details information about a young female leopard that was found dead in the forest near Hisavada village in Baghpat district. Officials suspect another case of poaching, considering the animal was not only killed, but the jaw and front paw of the leopard was missing. Several villagers reported finding the carcass when going into their fields.

Officials report, as stated in the India times news that "Poachers often come from Haryana for hunting wild swine. They set up cages to catch the animals. The leopard had been seen for the last few days in the area. Maybe the leopard got stuck in a cage and the poachers killed it. There are clear signs of poaching at the spot since the paw and jaw of the big cat had been cut off."

Poaching continues to be an ongoing concern and we are seeking your help through the signing and sharing of this petition worldwide on all media sites so that we can encourage the country to enforce their laws against such practices. Unless they actually enforce the laws through some type of continual monitoring, policing and severe punishment, poaching will continue.

Meerut, India Government Officials - It is understandable that laws have been implemented against poaching in your country. However, unless these laws are more strictly enforced, these horrific practices will continue. Please step up with these laws by more stringent practices of monitoring, policing and severely punishing offenders as a still measure in putting an end to unlawful poaching abuse. Be the voice for these animals affected and do more catch such offenders, slapping them with severe punishment for their offensive behaviors.
