END THE PRACTICE OF TETHERING ANIMALS OUTSIDE IN THE OPPRESSIVE HEAT AND FREEZING COLD

TITLE 86 "TETHERING LAW" 2019
A LOCAL LAW TO PROHIBIT THE INHUMANE RESTRAINT OF PETS
IN NASSAU COUNTY AND OTHER NEW YORK STATE COUNTIES IT IS COMPLETELY ACCEPTABLE FOR AN ANIMAL TO BE CHAINED OUTSIDE 24 HOURS A DAY NO MATTER WHAT THE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE. WE HAVE BEEN WORKING DILIGENTLY TO GET THESE LAWS CHANGED BUT THERE ARE A NUMBER OF LEGISLATORS WHO FEEL THE STATUS IS ACCEPTABLE!
HELP US TO HELP THOSE THAT CANNOT SPEAK FR THEMSELVES. WE NEED THESE LEGISLATORS TO KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
ANIMALS ARE SUFFERING DAILY AND THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE. THE PROPOSED LAWS WOULD INCREASE THE FINES AND THE PUNISHMENTS FOR THIS ABUSE. A COMPANION ANIMAL/PET SHOULD NEVER BE SUBJECTED TO A LIFE ON A ROPE OR CHAIN ALONE AND IGNORED.
