Descrimination of the Center For Social Justice

Every injustice is different. That means they generally call for a differential response depending upon the circumstances. First, injustice is concerned with the social aspect of everyday encounters, which is keen on improving social relations between people, as social work uniquely sets out to improve relationships between people individually and collectively. This is exactly what the Center for Social Justice wants to do, but cannot as the university grounds prohibit any further advancement of the CSJ. The advancements are being prohibited by the CSJ as they’ve seen their fair share of injustice by the lack of funding which has not ensured its stand and reputation within the university community. This is all simply tied to a contract that was signed. A contract that states no changes could be made to the Center for Social Justice located in the Houssels House. This is because the university wants to preserve the historic structure of the building, which meant no further funding could go into the maintenance and renovations of the CSJ. In order to see change, students and the university community need to rise and stand together, and petition for the relocation of the CSJ. From petitions and public speakers led by students could shed light on the programs offered by the CSJ to relay their message of equality, and creating an environment that reaches out to those who are seeking help and answers.
