Demand a halt to development on an archaeological site of national importance

Winvic developers are in the process of expanding Warth Park an industrial estate in Raunds Northamptonshire during this construction they used a drone to survey the land marked for development the images of which have revealed a massive henge which is of national importance. The henge itself is approximately 4000 years old and spans over 100m in Diameter.

The scale of the footprint of this important archaeological site can be clearly seen from the drone picture Historic England have commented that this site was originally discovered in the 80s and as yet has not been listed as a scheduled monument.

Northampton County council archaeologist who was aware as a consultee with the project has left the investigation of this site to the developers allowing them to continue and develop whilst listing any archaeological findings they may uncover. This is surely unacceptable as with all corporate mind sets the development will surely take precedence over finds and delays and our natural heritage will be lost forever buried under concrete and buildings we must of course move to prevent this commercial sacrilege of our countries historic sites.

Please if you agree will you sign this petition to help prevent the loss of this site and if you would be so kind as to email or write to your MP and Historic England to save and protect this important site before the greed and money bury it forever I thank you for your time in reading this thank you.
