Please sign and share this petition to encourage Arizona to inflict the maximum punishment on this woman and her son for the ill treatment of the horses in their care. They should also never be allowed to own or care for another animal the rest of their lives.

Authorities have been alerted to the poor care of some horses at a home in Aguila, 25 miles west Wickenburg. Initially they warned the owner and thought they noted a visible improvement on the condition of the horses. However, they were recently alerted again and returned to the home of Ms. Valenzuela, 51, and her 27-year old son, Jason, only to find four horses in poor condition. The animals were emaciated and needing medical attention. Three of the hoses had dental issues where their teeth had curled, which didn't allow them to eat and caused starvation.

Jason Valenzuela has a history of the animal abuse but promised to give the horses proper care, which he did not. Both he and the mother are being held on charges of animal cruelty and abuse in the neglectful handling of these horses. Please sign and share this petition to encourage Arizona to inflict the maximum punishment on this woman and her son for the ill treatment of the horses in their care.

Maricopa County Sheriff's officials – Please ensure that Ms. Valenzuela and her son Jason receive the maximum punishment allowable by law for the neglectful, abusive treatment of these horses. Not only should they be made accountable for their actions, make sure that they are never allowed to own another animal for as long as they live. They have proven that they do not deserve to have these defenseless beings under their care and should not be allowed the care of any pet or animal.
