A call for a day of humbling and repentance in America

America is under judgement. My wife and I host Sat. night online Bible Study at 9PM (EDT). In last Saturday’s Bible Study I proposed supporting a day of humbling and repentance for America. My suggestion is to go to a fabric store and purchase a yard of burlap (sackcloth), make 2 holes in it for sleeves and also burn a small pile of papers for a handful of ashes. In Old Testament times prophets and those seeking forgiveness from the Lord would put on sackcloth and place ashes on their heads as a symbol of humbling themselves before the Lord. The signs are everywhere around us—WE ARE IN THE LAST DAYS. If America is to be saved its faithful need to humble ourselves before the Lord, and pray (at least 30 minutes on your knees, if possible) for the forgiveness of this Nation. I propose doing this on 9/21/14, the Sunday before Rosh Hashanah which is 9/25/14, which is also the date of the second of 4 Blood Moons, and the beginning of a Shemaiah year. Abraham stood before God and confronted Him about destroying the righteous with the wicked in Sodom and Gomorrah, from 50 down to 10. Perhaps He will listen to the righteous, and delay judgment. Read II Chron. 7:14!!
As Bible believing Christians we need to ask forgiveness for not voting the Bible (or even voting as a group), for not calling abortion what it is, first degree murder, and for standing by and allowing the Courts to over-rule the vote of the people on things like same sex marriage, the list certainly continues—but I will leave what you pray about to your own conscience, just make sure it is Bible based.
Please share this idea with your friends, family, pastor and church. It must be done now, if we are to survive as a Nation, once again “Under God”. Otherwise, look up for our redemption draws near.
God Bless,
