Texas: Don't Force Abortion Providers to Bury Fetal Tissue!

Texas Governor Greg Abbott wants to force abortion providers to bury or cremate all fetal remains, regardless of pregnancy length. Since Abbott holds extreme anti-abortion views, such as wanting to block women from aborting even if their lives are in danger, it seems clear that his agenda is to complicate the work of abortion providers and to make women feel guilty about getting abortions.

Fetal matter can be used for important stem cell research rather than wasted in burial or cremation. Forcing abortion providers to perform the new procedures would require extra training, and possibly extra materials and resources that would cost money and complicate their jobs.

Abortion providers should not have to change their procedures and waste potentially life-saving medical material because of a governor's religious views. Please sign the petition to urge the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to stand against the governor's plan to force burial or cremation of fetal tissue!
