Juvenille Justice

We are trying to argue that the supreme court ruling of Miller V Alabama should be ratified and accepted nationally to apply retroactively and for new cases. Currently, the case is not nationally accepted, since only 29 states have adopted it. Five states have decided that it does not apply retroactively, including Michagan, California, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. The supreme court case of Miller V Alabama states that children under the age of 18 cannot be sentenced to life without parole.Children have a better chance of rehabilitation; however, they are not often given that chance. Today juveniles who are sentenced as adults are put with other adult prisoners.
