In January 2015, Nadine Machiskinic, a 29 year old Indigenous woman from Saskatchewan, fell to her death down a laundry chute in the Regina Delta Hotel.
Machiskinic's death comes at the heels of demands for inquests into the 1000+ missing and murdered Indigenous women in Canada.
While the coroner declared that her death was "accidental" there are many details which do not line up, including the fact that the autopsy report was altered and the fact that there were so many intoxicants in her system at the time of death that she would've been unable to climb into the laundry chute herself.

As someone who cares deeply about Indigenous people in Canada I urge you to call an inquest into the death of Nadine Machiskinic.
Indigenous women all over the country are going missing and being murdered and the governments of this country are not taking them seriously. The details of Nadine Machiskinic's death are suspicious and imply foul play, yet no formal inquest is being called.
This is a blatant disregard for Indigenous lives in Saskatchewan.
