Crosswalks in cottonwood

I am a mother of 5 and some days I walk to pick up my boys from American heritage academy on cherry street. I have been told that it would be safer to cross at the light but yet when we walk across but in reality nobody pays attention to people crossing at 89 A and main Street is one of the light nobody pays attention to people crossing or they don't wait for someone to cross all the way across the street. At main and cherry street my 16 son walk to school and home. He has almost been hit by people driving because they are not paying attention to people crossing. Evan our local police and sheriffs have ran that crosswalk. I found a few year ago a child ended up getting hit by a car not paying attention. How many children and adults have to be injured or almost injured or Evan the possibility of dying from there injuries for our mayor to do something about these problem. I have recently found that my kids school has written to our mayor yet nothing has been done to protect the people that walk. I have almost been hit walking my 5 month old in his stroller. The other day I was crossing at the light on main and 89A I got to the middle of the crosswalk and this lady came two inches away from hitting the stroller there should be no turn on red sign to help people attempt to pay attention.
