Bring The Fight To Them!!

 As I read through the comments section of articles and petitions written about the environment I have come to a conclusion.. We need to stop pointing the finger at each other as the cause for our planet rapidly declining..

 Democrats point at Republicans and blast them for their perceived rejection at the idea of climate change.. Republicans point at Democrats and their leader Obama and his failed policies with foreign governments to try to curb carbon emissions..

  What many of us are missing is that we are all to blame.. All of us.. The political affiliation of someone does not completely characterize them as a whole.. All of us at some time or another have hurt our planet.. Some of us have recognized our mistakes and are working towards atoning for them.. Where we are failing is that some of us prefer to scold and belittle those that have yet to accept that changes need to be made..

 We can mostly agree that something needs to be done.. I propose a new course of action.. Instead of using our words, charts, and statistics like we have been doing I say we take action.. Not action in the way of protests, emails, and blog posts but real action.. Let's make changes to the companies that are most at fault and the biggest polluters out there.. What I am proposing can not be a new idea (although I have never heard of it before) but is the best way I can think of to bring the fight to these polluters..

  NRG Texas Power's W.A. Parish Plant is one of the top 5 single biggest polluters in the United States.. NRG energy is a publicly traded company on the NYSE.. There ticker symbol is NRG.. I propose we buy stock in this company.. They are currently trading at $30.67.. If all of us that can afford it buy a few shares and group them together we can create a rather large voice that can be heard at their stock holders meetings.. If we attack these companies from within and use their own greed against them we can affect change.. With each share comes a vote and with each vote comes a voice..

  It might seem like a waste of time but it is a solution that I am working on.. Which is what I think we all need to do.. Creating solutions has a much better chance of success than just scolding and protesting these offenders.. Because if you haven't noticed not very much change has been brought about.. Its not us losing this fight.. It's the planet..
