Pakistani Govt. Must Ask for Forgiveness to Bangladesh and want United Nations help to bring the war

To:  Secretary General, United Nations.

Subject: Pakistani Govt. Must Ask for Forgiveness to Bangladesh and want United Nations help to bring the war criminals of 1971 in Bangladesh to justice.

Mr. Kofi Annan,
We, citizens of People's Republic of Bangladesh, With all due respect, we would like to bring to your notice one of the most horrible genocide of the 20th century that had occurred in 1971 in the then East Pakistan, which is now known as Bangladesh.

On 25th March 1971 at around midnight, the ferocious Pakistani army had come out from the barracks and massacred the unarmed, innocent and sleeping people. 3,000,000 people were massacred, 200,000 women were raped and hundreds of villages were burnt to ashes and razed to the ground from 25th March till 16th December 1971. Millions of people lived in tents on the other side of the border facing starvation and famine.

When the invaders came to the reality that they can not hold on to the then East Pakistan, they, along with their collaborators, hatched one of the most hateful plan which can only be compared to the calculated plan to extinct the Jew intellectuals during the WW II. The invaders and their collaborators rounded up the intellectuals from every department and murdered them in cold blood. As the invaders and their collaborators understood that they couldn%u2019t keep the land and the Bengalis under their feet, they planned to destroy the nation and so they massacred the intellectuals who would have steered the Bengali nation out of chaos and into prosperity.

The peace loving people of the world cannot stand aside and let one of the most horrible genocide of the 20th century go by and the criminals without trial. The convicts and their collaborators must be brought to trial and punished for their crime. The Bangladeshi nation demands justice for the atrocities that had been carried against them.

The international court of justice is now a world recognized body. We, the peace loving people of the world request you, sir, to advice the international court to investigate the war crimes carried out during the independence war of Bangladesh and bring all the criminals to justice and apologize to the Bangladeshi nation.

We hope that the United Nations will do everything in its power to give the Bangladeshi nation the justice it seeks. Sincerely,
