Punish Circus for Abusing an Elderly Elephant!

A horrifying video shows a frail 48-year-old elephant drowning to death in a river while her owner's brother, Rene Renz, jumps on her. The aged elephant, named Madi, was a star in Germany's Universal Circus Renz and had grown too old and frail to perform.

Madi initially went in the river for a bath, then slipped and fell on her side into the water. Instead of helping her up or lifting her trunk to let her breathe, Renz proceeded to stand and jump on her and dive off of her, making it impossible for the elephant to recover. There were several spectators on the riverbank, but none of them helped.

This heartbreaking abuse of an aged animal is inexcusable. No animal deserves such an undignified death, especially one who has served humans for so long. Please sign the petition to urge the German government to shut down the Universal Circus Renz!
