The legalization of cannabis in Mississippi

Cannabis has many names, marijuana, and weed just to name a few. Cannabis has been a "scourge" for many years for people who think it is a harmful drug without questioning why is it illegal and what are the medicinal benefits of this plant. Now I'm not going to sugar coat it but this wonderful plant has been around for many years and has seen many medicinal and practical uses such as: making rope and clothing out of it, using it instead of taking chemotherapy for cancer patients, and not to mention it would be an excellent way for making capital for the Mississippi economy. Now here's the reason that I am typing this petition, I've had many family members pass from forms of cancer, right now I have a great-aunt whom I love very much and I've seen her going through a battle with colon cancer for the past seven years on and off and seeing her going through the pain of chemotherapy hurts me, I've talked to her recently about asking her doctor about using medicinal cannabis for the pain caused by the chemo treatment and she told me she would if it became legal. If this petition would become law I would call it Lola's law in honor of the woman who gave me inspiration to type up this petition.
