Save the strays of Greenwood st. Naugatuck Connecticut

My new neighborsite whom just bought a house next door to us about 3 months ago have been harassing me and the cat's in the community since they've moved in.
They've been witnessed throwing rocks at the cats, chasing them down with a water gun with God only knows what in it, chasing them into the street purposely to be hit by cars and their latest harassment, threatening with a letter from a lawyer to take my landlord and I to court in what I can only imagine as an attempt to have the cats euthanized. Their saying that the cats are viscous, sickly spreading disease and causing property damage. However, with as long as these cats have been here. There's never been any problems. That is until late they bought the house that they don't even live in
These cats have been in this community for 20 years, so I've been told. There are a number of people who feed the cats in the neighborhood not to mention, through recent outreach that I've taken upon myself to have with my neighbors, found out that not all the cats are strays as they are also peoples pets that go outside.
When I moved into my apt 4 years ago there were over 20 cats that were feral and you could see they could use medical care. Since I began my efforts, I'm down to 8 legitimate strays
They started a petition against the town stating that the care givers of feral cats need to be registered with the towns animal control and provide proof of spay/neuter and rabies/distemper shots. All of which I have and I will add the photos and receipts from the vets and cat clinic where I have taken 22 cats since Oct 2014 to the vets for various different reasons and to the clinic to be fixed and vaccinated.
I'm asking you to sign this petition so that they, my neighbors John TEDESCO and Elizabete Desilva won't succeed at their attempt to have the city step in and possibly put these cats to sleep. While it does break my heart to see them outside. I am doing my ultimate best to care for each one and humanely, through trap and release, medical treatment when needed and rehabilitation and adoption to end the Stray Cat problem in my area. Let them live their lives in peace and not have to be in fear of threatening actions against them by my neighbors. I've had animal control come out and the police because of them with no help. Naugatuck Animal control has done a wellness check on these cats and saw nothing wrong, even went as far as saying they would put me in their data base if anyone called looking to adopt cats.
I am the only person in the neighborhood attempting to do right by these great cats by trap and release, vet carr and rehabilitation to make them people friendly so I can find homes for them. Ive already found homes for countless kittens and 6 adult cats.
I have periodically called for assistance to cat rescues and animal control, aspca and humane society and have always heard the same thing. Animal control doesn't do anything for cats, ASPCA doesn't do anything unless they are abused, Humane society can't help for whatever reason, and amazingly enough, all the rescues are ALWAYS filled to compacity and can't take anymore cats.
The police Sargent says to.me "you're the one who took on this responsibility as though that's a bad thing. Ifor I didn't start to do something obviously not one else would because the cats have been roaming these streets for over 20 years as I stated before. I had to take action cause I couldn't handle watching these cats in the condition they were in. Especi after my neighbor downstairswas feeding them and did nothing else, then moved leaving these cats hungry and confused along with another neighbor who.moved and left their 3 indoor cats behind to become, overnight, instant outdoor cats.
I care very much for these cats and have spent thousands of dollars on them.
Again, please don't let them, my neighbors, end the lives of these cats before their time.
