This is a book of transcriptions of the 2004 album En Vivo by Los Enanitos Verdes. It was made for many reasons.
- My love and passion for this music
- I feel very strongly that this incredible music (particularly the guitar work) should be made available to the public
- Nothing like this is available anywhere
I had the incredible privilege of spending some time with the band and giving each one an actual hard copy of the book. I found that besides being great people and amazing musicians, they were also very interested in publishing the book.
The problem is that since then and even before, I have spoken to many publishing companies and I have been told that not enough people would be interested in buying this. They might be right nonetheless, I disagree and for these reasons. Firstly, this is one of the bands most successful album in terms of sales, airplay, touring, etc. ALL of the music is great but specifically the guitar work on this album is absolutely out of this world. I have gotten countless messages from people who have seen me performing this on a video or people approaching me when performing this live and asking for some kind of transcription or TAB or something. Their music videos and live videos have millions and millions of views and lastly, there is nothing like this available in the entire world. And that goes for all Spanish Rock music. I’ve yet to see a Caifanes book of transcriptions or Café Tacuba, Juanes, Mana, Soda Estereo. The list goes on and on and its unfortunate because this I really great music.
So that is the purpose of this petition. To see whether or not enough people would be willing to purchase this book and also, hopefully it will be the beginning of more transcriptions of other Spanish Rock bands.
