End unequal Council Tax system

The council Tax is unfair as its based on the value of a house decided by a council banding system not by how well off the person who lives there and has to pay this tax is.

This means a house with 10 adults living in it they pay a few pounds each to efectively what is 1 persons taxt and a house worked for for 50 years and bought and paid for by an elderly couple is crippling for them and they have to sell up to move into a smaller property they can still barely afford.

Every adult (over 18) should pay the same amount of council tax rich or poor as they all recieve the same services from the council, say £500 per year if there are 10 people over 18 in a house then that house pays £5000 in council tax and the elderly couple pay £1000.

This is a fairer system and will draw in more council tax as far too many people are not paying their fair share i.e. large families and houses filled with migrant workers.

Dear Mr Cameron,

the Council Tax system is out dated and many people are being penalised for living in a property they have worked hard for all their lives as they can no longer afford the Tax.

There are many other properties that have very large families in or lots of migrant workers who are effectively paying only 1 persons council tax.

This needs to stop and every person needs to pay a fair tax for council services. If every person in the UK over the age of 18 paid the same amount for example £500 this wouls work out as a larger whole than than the current system.

It is fairer for each peson to pay the same amount than try and work out a system where some pay more than others especially when it hits our elders the hardest of all who have to rely on a state pension that they worked hard for their entire lives.
