Urge Main Roads to reduce speedlimit on Dangerous section Albany Hwy/Armadale Rd, Armadale

A Speed limit reduction is required from 70km/h to 60km/h for the road section of Albany Hwy/Armadale Rd, Armadale past PIONEER VILLAGE and over the intersection of South West Hwy through to the railway line on Armadale Rd.

This section runs past 2 primary school access and departure points and many other interconnection roads including the major intersection and a railway crossing.  It has been viewed on many occasions that vehicles including heavy haulage trucks find it difficult to stop when cars are crossing in & out of these schools and pedestrians being children and parents walking to and from school as well.

Main Roads have been contacted on several occasions by the public and one of the schools also to only have small signage erected.

We strongly urge you sign this petition. Something needs to be done. Help us make our roads safe and in particular for our children to get to school and all pedestirans and motorists on the road.

You can also help by forward a personal to the Hon Dean Nalder MLA, Minister for Transport. Email to: minister.nalder@dpc.wa.gov.au

We can only but try; otherwise someone will be accountable for a potential fatality.
