*Dr. Linda Coakley FNP, BC, seeks to open the clinic to share her experience in health care that spans > 44 years, including completion of the school of Aerospace Medicine as part of USAF training, Captain in the 118th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron from 1992-1996, Life Flight Nurse at the Hermann Hospital in Houston, one of the 1st 4 flight nurses on the 1st air ambulance program in the US to be named Life Flight, 4 university degrees with a BSN from UT, MS in Health & Human Services from the University of Detroit, MSN from Vanderbilt University, and Ed. D. in Leadership and Professional Practices from Trevecca Nazarene University, over 11 years in nursing education as Assistant Professor of Nursing at Western Kentucky University and Tennessee State University, Supervisor and Nurse Consultant in the Department of Surveillance and Utilization Review at the Bureau of Medicaid, Assistant Director of Nurses, Supervisor, and Head Nurse of the Emergency Room at North Detroit General Hospital, > 11 years experience in trauma centers including Vanderbilt, Detroit Receiving Hospital, Mount Carmel Hospital, Hermann Hospital (now U of Texas Health Science Center), and Charity Hospital of New Orleans, the 3rd largest public hospital in the world at that time, and 1 year in the 18 bed ICU of Baptist Hospital in Memphis, the largest private hospital in the world at that time and the hospital where Elvis Presley died, mission work including 15 years as NP volunteer in the clinics at the Nashville Rescue Mission, and 6 years teaching health promotion as a volunteer, and served with medical mission teams in Chile, Paraguay, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Haiti, Africa, India, and 3 missions in China, plus past certifications in Critical Care Nursing, Emergency Nursing, Advanced Life Support Instructor and provider, Basic Life Support Instructor and provider.
*To fulfill my mission in life to help others, especially people who struggle and need someone to listen to their health concerns, to instill hope and share the love of Jesus Christ Who set the example for us as he went about teaching (the Good Samaritan) and healing during His years here on earth.
