Send Love to Fifteen-Year-Old who Rescued Dogs from House Fire

On March 21, 2014, 15-year-old Braxton Bartholomew from Amarillo, Texas, was with his 67-year-old grandfather, Dee Hanun, when a nearby home caught fire.

The teenager jumped into action when a neighbor asked for help rescuing dogs

trapped in a backyard. Bartholomew did not hesitate and saved the life of three canines.

The hero rescuer broke down the yard’s fence by smashing it with his shoulder

and entered the property to rescue the dogs.

“One of the shepherds, I had to drag it out and it kept coming back in, so I had to pick it up,”

the teenager told Amarillo Globe News. “The other dog bit my arm, and the weenie dog just didn’t care.”

Firefighters arrived and controlled the blaze.

Amarillo Fire Department District Chief Greg Mayes said the fire originated outside the home

and spread to the attic.

Fortunately, the only damages caused by the fire were to the property,

no one was injured and all pets were saved.

Long Live The Braxton!
