Drop Charges Against Jill Stein!

  • by: Susan V

Green Party Candidate Jill Stein and her running mate were arrested in Hempstead, NY for trying to gain entrance to the presidential debate at Hofstra University. Apparently she’s more concerned about the bondage of the American people than her own.

She now faces charges of disorderly conduct. In a nutshell, her message is being censored.

Stein isn't in denial about global warming or who’s responsible for the economic collapse, and she proposes a Green New Deal for solving this dual crisis. It includes direct job creation by communities and forgiveness of student loans. Instead of bailing out banks “for the gazillionth time," she told Forbes, we should be bailing out the victims of Wall Street’s “waste, fraud and abuse.”

Stein believes getting her message out to the 36 million with college debt, alone, could turn this election around. Not only should she not have been arrested, she should be allowed to speak, without further harassment.

Tell Nassau County to drop these charges and respect Stein's freedom of speech.

We, the undersigned, are outraged at Nassau County's arrest of presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein and her running mate Cheri Honkala. We are further concerned that their important message is being kept out of the presidential debates.

Her suggestion of a Green New Deal resonates with many Americans, as evidenced by protests all over the country, especially since the Wall Street atrocities occurred.

Stein's solutions are at least as viable as those offered by the other candidates or anyone else, and there is no reason her message should be kept from the American public.

Certainly there is no excuse for jailing these Green Party presidential candidates who were merely trying to exercise their Constitutional rights.

We request that you drop all charges against Stein and her running mate and never hinder her freedom of speech again.!
