The Planned Parenthood has begun a courageous fight against Arizona's oppressive law that blocks funding to Planned Parenthood health clinics because the offer abortion services.

Though abortion services constitutes only 3 percent of the overall services offered by Planned Parenthood, conservative governor Jan Brewer enacted the law in May.

Therefore, Planned Parenthood is suing the state of Arizona for discriminating against the health provider for offering constitutionally protected abortion services.

As a major health provider to thousands of Arizona women and men, Planned Parenthood offers vital health screenings, education and preventative family planning.

Instead of being concerned with the health and well being of citizens, Jan Brewer is searching for a backdoor ban to women's reproductive rights. Women should not be put at risk to make way for political bullying.

Planned Parenthood provides excellent life-saving services to the men and women of Arizona and should not be bullied by the political ideologies of conservative leaders.

These leaders should be more interested in providing safe, accessible health services to citizens rather than concentrating on a backdoor method to ban abortion.

Planned Parenthood should be celebrated for their tireless support for the citizens of Arizona rather than constantly attacked.
