Little Paws Haven Rescue

We have been fostering dogs for about three (3) years. we am allowed to have up to 19 dogs at one time. We usually have up to 4, a couple times we have had 6. We only foster small dogs, around 15 pounds. At this time we are not capable of caring bigger dogs. There is another rescue in Concordia, out of city limits, that take care of them. There are so many unwanted dogs in this world. They are killed, maned, abused repeatly, and thrown away along highways and country roads. Breeders (not all) will contact rescues, if they don't have room, they have them ethunized. We want to change our status from fostering to rescue, so we can change their life, and hopefully send them to a good forever home. They will be altered, shots up to date, and any medical issues attended to . They will be socialized, learn how to be social with other dogs, and humans. They will be loved, the same as our own.

We have been denied by the City of Concordia zoning to change from Fostering to Rescue because this would be a  income source. Anyone that has any knowledge of fostering and rescuing know this is not money making. Who do they think pays for the altering, shots, medicine. And the food, cleaning supplies, bedding, treats, toys, leashes, collars, paper goods, crates. Sometimes there might be 20.00 to apply to our expenses. We furnish them clean living conditions, bedding, food, nice fenced in yard and the list goes on. We don't home them with first come first serve. The new owners are questioned, then they come to meet the dog, so we can see how they interact. We have had to deny adoption, because we felt they just didn't match.

We are pleading to you to sign our Petition. If you are not bothered by our dogs, noise, odor, roaming dogs, please sign.
