What happens to the lottery money?

Originally the lottery money was going towards computers in schools. Well, now where is it going? I think the Americans should know. Who is it benefiting. So much money going into the lottery.We should know where it is dire cted to. An itemized list would be helpful with list being printed in our newspapers. How about helping the poor in the united States, the lottery money could help tremendouly.
